A promotional poster for the annual Kalamazoo Teen Filmmaker Festival held in Kalamazoo MI. This annual festival is catered towards youth from ages 12 – 19, where each applicant must submit a 10-minute original film. Other than meeting this simple requirement, students are encouraged to explore their imagination and create with no limitations to genre or any formalities. Approaching the design of this poster, I intended to reflect the diversity of genre and technology that the applicants utilize while creating the films, as well as capturing the youthful energy and sense of play from the film submissions.
UI/UX - Myfeed
Details / Mobile App / Gesture Based Software /
Myfeed was designed as a social media news-gathering mobile app. This app was created after one of my good friends left for a missions trip for a year in South America. In order to keep up with him and his activities, I had to check multiple social media outlets and blogs to feel informed. That’s when the idea of combining all social media news feeds into one app began. The app allows users to combine all social media news feeds of an individual into a single news feed through the Myfeed app. In addition, using gesture based technology and projectors, the app allows users to connect and view content any physical surface.
This publication uses content from the This American Life episode 257, “What I Should’ve Said.” The episode focuses on what people have regretted saying in their past, and what they wish could have taken place instead. Playing off this theme, I wanted to create an activity book that gives the illusion that what has already been written can be altered. Throughout the book, readers can interact with numerous activities, such as fill in the blank, crossword puzzles, drawing, and stickers to create their own version of the story.
This zine is based on Philippe Audouin’s surrealist game, which encourages participants to look at ones physical, mental, and spiritual existence from new and unique perspectives; an attempt to free visuals and language from normal constraints. The contents of this zine is my visual interpretation of this game, and explores my family’s dark Mafia tendencies and the rules to which one must follow to be accepted in my family.

Installation - Digital Manifesto
Details / Installation / Projection mapping / After Effects /
This installation is the physical embodiment of my design manifesto. By combining 2D and motion graphics, this installation displays the lessons and principles I have learned up to this point as a designer. During the creation of this installation, I wanted to explore the use of projection mapping and play with physical space interacting with motion graphics. I have always wanted to attempt playing with projectors, and enjoyed tinkering and playing with some new technology during this project.
